Welcome to the website of the Walter Stewart Clan. Here you will find information on the descendants of Walter Stewart, Sr. who settled in Laurens County, South Carolina in 1788. He had seven sons by two wives. In 1982 there were 6,280 known descendants and spouses in the family. The first Walter Stewart Family Reunion was held at New Harmony Presbyterian Church in Fountain Inn, South Carolina on October 17, 1907. We celebrated the 100th annual anniversary reunion in 2007 and every year the tradition continues. We meet on the 2nd weekend in August. Explore the website to find historic records, past and current newsletters, family photos, as well as information on the upcoming reunion.

Thank you to everyone who made the 2014 reunion a great one! Next year we'll be at New Harmony and plans are already being made. Meanwhile, we're posting a query from LaMarr Brooks below. If you can help her please do. If you have your own question you would like to see if the family can help with, please let me know at "Clark.Cveta at gmail.com".
